- Request from the GUE/NGL Group to refer back to committee the Speroni report on the request for the waiver of Tobias Pflüger's immunity (A6-0156/2006), which was due to be put to the vote on Tuesday (Item 2 on the final draft agenda).
Sylvia-Yvonne Kaufmann moved the request.
The following spoke on the request: Klaus-Heiner Lehne, on behalf of the PPE-DE Group, Martin Schulz, on behalf of the PSE Group, who asked that the Conference of Presidents no longer be called upon to deal with matters relating to parliamentary immunity, and that such matters be dealt with in plenary and by the JURI Committee, Daniel Marc Cohn-Bendit, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, and Martin Schulz.
Parliament rejected the request by electronic vote (72 in favour, 102 against, 50 abstentions).
- Request from the PSE Group to hold over until Wednesday the vote on the Rack report on improving the environmental performance of the freight transport system ('Marco Polo II') (A6-0408/2005) (Item 11 on the final draft agenda).
Parliament approved the request.
Wednesday
As the Presidency-in-Office of the Council had notified Parliament that it could not stay after 19.00, Council Question Time would be cut to one hour.
The following spoke against that statement: Martin Schulz, Giles Chichester, Hans-Gert Poettering and Hans-Peter Martin (the President pointed out that he would pass the comments on to the Council).
