DRAFT LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION

The following spoke: Magda Kósáné Kovács (rapporteur), who asked Franco Frattini (Vice-President of the Commission) to clarify the Commission's position on the amendments. As Franco Frattini pointed out that the Commission wished to have more time in order to work out a compromise with the Council, Magda Kósáné Kovács requested that the vote be postponed under Rule 53(2).

Parliament agreed to the rapporteur's request.

The matter was deemed to be referred back to the committee responsible for reconsideration.
