14. Approval by the Council of Parliament's positions adopted at first reading (Rule 66)
The President announced to Parliament that Council had approved Parliament's position at first reading of 13 February 2007 with a view to adopting the Decision amending and extending Decision No 804/2004/EC establishing a Community action programme to promote activities in the field of the protection of the Community's financial interests (Hercule II programme) (3607/3/2007 - C6-0229/2007 - 2006/0114(COD)).
Given the adaptations made to the text before its adoption by the Council, the President consulted the CONT Committee, the committee responsible, in accordance with Rule 66(2). By letter of 5 July 2007, the chairman of the CONT Committee had stated that those adaptations did not affect the substance of the text. The President would therefore sign this act the following week together with the President of the Council.
