The President proposed, in order to allow the authors of explanations of vote on that morning's votes to be heard, the following amendment to that day's agenda: the debate on the Commission statement on the 'Disturbing situation regarding waste in the Campania region'(item 53 on the agenda) would be brought forward, ahead of the debate on the report by Roberta Angelilli (A6-0520/2007)(item 22 on the agenda).
Explanations of vote would be given after the last item on the agenda.
The following spoke: Christopher Heaton-Harris, on the application of Rule 171 after the votes and the consequences thereof (the President reminded Members that the President of the sitting had the authority to suspend the sitting at any moment and that the House was master of its own agenda), Jim Allister, on the procedure followed at the time of the vote on the request to suspend the sitting, which he judged to be out of order, Hannes Swoboda, on behalf of the PSE Group, on the very clear result of that vote, and Daniel Hannan, on the application of Rules 171 and 163.
Parliament approved the proposal by electronic vote (115 in favour, 23 against, 0 abstentions).
