COMMISSION PROPOSAL

The following spoke: Panayiotis Demetriou, on behalf of the PPE-DE Group, who, with the support of Evelyne Gebhardt (rapporteur), moved an oral amendment to Amendment 38, and Carlo Casini, who stated that the oral amendment was compatible with Amendments 32-37; the oral amendment was then accepted.

The following spoke: Bruno Gollnisch, who requested that the text be referred back to the committee; Parliament rejected this request.

The following spoke: Evelyne Gebhardt and Panayiotis Demetriou, on behalf of the PPE-DE Group, who recalled that Amendments 32-37 had fallen following approval of Amendment 38, as amended orally, and Cristiana Muscardini, on behalf of the UEN Group, on those amendments.
