Parliament thereby withheld its consent to the conclusion of the Agreement.

The following had spoken:

Before the vote, Joseph Daul, on behalf of the PPE Group, requesting that the recommendation be referred back to committee under Rules 63 and 175, Timothy Kirkhope, on behalf of the ECR Group, in favour of the request, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert (rapporteur), against the request, Cecilia Malmström (Member of the Commission) and Martin Schulz.

Parliament rejected the request by electronic vote (290 in favour, 305 against, 14 abstentions).
