3. Composition of Parliament

The UK authorities had notified the President of the election of Caroline Lucas to the House of Commons.

Parliament noted this and, under Article 7(2) of the Act concerning the election of the members of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage and Rule 4(4), second indent, of the Rules of Procedure, established the vacancy of Ms Lucas' seat as of 18 May 2010.
