15. Request for the waiver of parliamentary immunity

The registrar of the court of the second and third district of Budapest had sent the President of Parliament a request for the waiver of the parliamentary immunity of Tamás Deutsch in the context of proceedings under way before that court.

Pursuant to Rule 6(2), the request had been referred to the committee responsible, the JURI Committee.


16. Composition of Parliament

The relevant EU authority had informed the President of Parliament of the appointment of Magdalena Alvarez as Vice-President of the European Investment Bank as of 16 July 2010.

Parliament took note of this and, in accordance with Article 7(1) of the Act on the election of members of the European Parliament by universal suffrage and with Rule 4(1) and (4), established that her seat would be vacant with effect from 16 July 2010.


17. Verification of credentials
