The next item was the order of business.

The final draft agenda for the October II sittings (PE 449.494/PDOJ) had been distributed and a number of changes had been proposed (Rule 140):

Wednesday

Request by the Verts/ALE Group for the vote on Parliament's calendar of part-sessions – 2012 to be postponed to a subsequent sitting (item 107 of the final draft agenda).

The following spoke: Daniel Cohn-Bendit, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, explaining the reasons for the request, and Francesco Enrico Speroni, on behalf of the EFD Group, opposing the request.

Parliament rejected the request by electronic vote (73 in favour, 183 against, 10 abstentions).
