On behalf of Parliament, the President welcomed members of a delegation from the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies led by Carlos Alberto Leréia, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and National Defence, who had taken their seats in the distinguished visitors' gallery.

Elmar Brok spoke on the display of banners in the Chamber (the President said he would refer the matter to the authorities responsible).
