7. Statement by the President

On behalf of Parliament, the President made a statement on the situation in Syria, in which he called on the Syrian authorities to free immediately all those who had been arbitrarily detained in the country, including the Syrian psychoanalyst Rafah Nashed.


8. Establishment of a European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps (written declaration)

Written Declaration 0025/2011, submitted by Georgios Koumoutsakos, Hélène Flautre, Marian Harkin and Vittorio Prodi on the establishment of a European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps, had been signed by a majority of Parliament's component Members.
