7. Sakharov Prize 2011 (announcement of winners)

The President announced that the Conference of Presidents had, at its meeting held that day, nominated Asmaa Mahfouz (Egypt), Ahmed al-Zubair Ahmed al-Sanusi (Libya), Razan Zeitouneh, Ali Farzat (Syria) and, posthumously, Mohamed Bouazizi (Tunisia) as winners of the 2011 Sakharov Prize.

The Prize would be awarded in December at Strasbourg.
