- Othmar Karas: 244 votes
- Edward McMillan-Scott: 239 votes
- Isabelle Durant: 238 votes
- Alexander Alvaro: 235 votes
- Rainer Wieland: 230 votes
- Oldřich Vlasák: 223 votes
- Jacek Protasiewicz: 206 votes
- László Surján: 188 votes
The 14 candidates were elected Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament by acclamation.
In accordance with Rule 15(2) the Vice-Presidents take precedence in the order in which they were elected.
