18. Composition of Parliament

The competent Finnish authorities had given notice of the election of Risto E.J. Penttilä to replace Ville Itälä as a Member of the European Parliament with effect from 1 March 2012.

Risto E.J. Penttilä had subsequently given notice of his resignation as a Member of the European Parliament with effect from 1 March 2012.

In accordance with Rule 4(1) and (3), Parliament established the vacancy as of the above-mentioned date and informed the national authority concerned.
