The President made a statement on the Lampedusa tragedy.

Parliament observed a minute's silence.


3. Approval of the minutes of the previous sitting

The minutes of the previous sitting were approved.

Lena Kolarska-Bobińska had announced that she had intended to vote in favour during the vote on Amendment 2 to the report by Derek Vaughan (A7-0030/2012) on 16 February 2012.


4. Verification of credentials

On the JURI Committee's proposal, Parliament decided to confirm the validity of the mandates of the following Members:

- Iñaki Irazabalbeitia Fernández with effect from 11 July 2013,

- Eduard-Raul Hellvig and Ovidiu Ioan Silaghi with effect from 4 September 2013,

- Martina Michels with effect from 5 September 2013.


5. Composition of political groups

Nessa Childers was no longer a member of the S&D Group and had been sitting with the non-attached Members since 17 September 2013.


6. Corrigenda (Rule 216)

The JURI Committee had forwarded the following corrigenda to the texts adopted by the European Parliament:

The corrigenda would be available on the Séance en direct website during the current part-session.

Pursuant to Rule 216(4), this corrigendum would be deemed approved unless, within 24 hours, a request was made by a political group or at least 40 Members that it be put to the vote.

Protocol agreed between the European Union and the Republic of Madagascar setting out fishing opportunities and the financial contribution provided for in the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the two parties currently in force.
