6. Follow-up to a request for the waiver of immunity
Following the European Parliament's decision of 16 April 2013 to waive the immunity of Jürgen Creutzmann in connection with proceedings brought against him by Frankenthal public prosecutor's office (minutes of 16.4.2013, item 8.5), the competent German authorities had informed Parliament, in accordance with Rule 7(9), that the legal proceedings had been dropped.

The President announced that José Manuel Barroso (President of the Commission), President of the Commission, had told him that morning that the Commission might well be in default in mid-November if Parliament did not approve supplementary amending budget No 6. He asked the Committee on Budgetary Affairs to call an extraordinary meeting the following evening to discuss the supplementary amending budget which the Council might adopt the following day.
He proposed consulting Parliament on the possibility of including the question in the agenda for Wednesday or Thursday if the Committee on Budgetary Affairs approved the supplementary amending budget.
