After the vote, Algimantas Rimkūnas (President-in-Office of the Council) noted that the amendment adopted by Parliament was in line with the political agreement reached in the Conciliation Committee. He said that the Council approved the amendment to Draft amending budget No 9 for 2013 that had been adopted by Parliament. Therefore, no meeting of the Conciliation Committee provided for by Article 314(5) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union was needed.
