The President, on behalf of Parliament, welcomed Petro Poroshenko, Member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada and Co-Chair of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, who had taken his seat in the distinguished visitors' gallery.
The President reiterated Parliament's support for the Ukrainian people and for the freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
