4. Composition of Parliament

The Polish authorities had given notice of the election of Edward Czesak to replace Andrzej Duda, as Member of Parliament with effect from 11 June 2015.

Under Rule 3(2), until such time as his credentials had been verified or a ruling had been given on any dispute, and provided that he had previously made a written declaration stating that he did not hold any office incompatible with that of Member of the European Parliament, Edward Czesak would take his seat in Parliament and on its bodies and would enjoy all the rights attaching thereto.

Emmanouil Glezos had given notice in writing of his resignation as Member of Parliament, with effect from midnight on 8 July 2015.

In accordance with Rule 4(1) and (3), Parliament had noted that the seat was vacant from 9 July 2015 and had informed the national authority concerned.

Marit Paulsen had given notice in writing of her resignation as Member of Parliament, with effect from 30 September 2015.

In accordance with Rule 4(1) and (3), Parliament had noted that the seat was vacant from that date and had informed the national authority concerned.
