8. Announcement by the President

The President had decided, pursuant to Rules 11 and 165, to exclude Eleftherios Synadinos from proceedings with immediate effect and for the rest of the sitting because of the statements he had made during the debate on the Preparation of the European Council meeting of 17 and 18 March 2016 and outcome of the EU-Turkey summit.

The President asked Eleftherios Synadinos to leave the Chamber, which he did escorted by the ushers.

Members would be notified of any penalties imposed pursuant to Rule 166.
