2. Statement by the President

The President made a statement on the recent terrorist attacks in Brussels, in which 32 people died and 340 were injured. He noted that Islamist terrorism was claiming victims all over the world, and that we needed to defend democracy and our freedoms together, without hatred or violence.

The President expressed Parliament's condolences with the victims' families.

Parliament observed a minute's silence.
