8. Announcement by the President
Pursuant to Rule 166, the President had decided on 10 March 2016 to take disciplinary measures against Nicolas Bay for having used Marine Le Pen's voting machine during the sitting of 28 October 2015 (minutes of 10 March 2016, item 5). Nicolas Bay having appealed against this decision, the Bureau had considered his appeal at its meeting of 11 April 2016 and confirmed unanimously the President's decision. The measures entailed cancelling his subsistence allowance for a period of five days.
9. Request for the waiver of parliamentary immunity
The Lithuanian authorities had sent a request for the parliamentary immunity of Rolandas Paksas to be waived so as to be able to instigate criminal proceedings against him.
Pursuant to Rule 9(1), the request had been referred to the committee responsible, the JURI Committee.
10. Composition of political groups
Marcus Pretzell was no longer a member of the ECR Group and had been sitting with the non-attached members since 12 April 2016.
