The President paid tribute to the memory of Jo Cox, the British Labour MP killed outside her campaign office in Birstall (United Kingdom) on Thursday 16 June 2016.

Parliament observed a minute's silence.

The President made a statement condemning the attack in Orlando (United States) on 12 June 2016 and the murder of a police couple in Magnanville (France) on 13 June 2016.

The President conveyed Parliament's condolences to the families of the victims and thanked all the members of the security forces engaged in protecting democracy and citizens.

3. Formal sitting - State of Israel

From 15.15 to 15.50, a formal sitting of Parliament was held on the occasion of the address by Reuven Rivlin, President of the State of Israel.

7. Corrigendum (Rule 231)

The REGI Committee had forwarded the following corrigendum to a text adopted by Parliament:

In accordance with Article 25 of the Financial Regulation, the Committee on Budgets had decided to raise no objections to transfer of appropriations INF/4/2016 by the Court of Justice.

In accordance with Article 25 of the Financial Regulation, the Committee on Budgets had decided to raise no objections to transfer of appropriations INF/2/2016 by the European Economic and Social Committee.

15. Order of business
