Parliament approved the conclusion of the Paris Agreement.

The President signed the letter forwarding Parliament’s decision to the Council in the presence of Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ségolène Royal, French Minister for the Environment and President of COP21, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the Commission, Ivan Korčok, President-in-office of the Council, Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the Commission with responsibility for energy union, Miguel Arias Cañete, Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, and Giovanni la Via, rapporteur and Chair of the ENVI Committee.
