7. Request for consultation of the European Economic and Social Committee (Rule 137(2) (approval)

The President announced that he had not received a request from Members or a political group reaching at least the minimum threshold regarding a vote on a request from the FEMM Committee for consultation of the European Economic and Social Committee with a view to its issuing an opinion on the digital gender divide, as announced in the minutes of Wednesday 18 April 2018 (minutes of 18.4.2018, item 9).

In accordance with Rule 137(2), the request was therefore deemed to have been approved.
