6. Council position at first reading

The President announced that, in accordance with Rule 64(1) the following position had been received from the Council, together with the reasons which had led to its adoption, and the Commission's position on:

- Position of the Council at first reading with a view to the adoption of a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) 2016/1036 on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Union and Regulation (EU) 2016/1037 on protection against subsidised imports from countries not members of the European Union (05700/1/2018 – C8-0168/2018 ̶ 2013/0103(COD))

referred to committee responsible: INTA

The three-month period available to Parliament to adopt its position would therefore begin the following day, (4 May 2018).
