Verbatim reports

The final draft agenda for the June 2018 plenary sittings (PE 623.587/PDOJ) had been distributed and the following changes had been proposed (Rule 149a):


No changes.


Request from the GUE/NGL Group to change the title 'Georgian occupied territories ten years after the Russian invasion' to 'Georgia’s breakaway regions ten years after the war with Russia' (item 80 on the final draft agenda).

The following spoke: Helmut Scholz, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, to move the request and Anna Elżbieta Fotyga, on behalf of the ECR Group, against the request.

Parliament rejected the request by RCV (101 for, 165 against, 11 abstentions).


Request from the Verts/ALE Group to add as the second item in the afternoon statements by the Council and the Commission on the 'Humanitarian emergencies in the Mediterranean and solidarity in the EU'.

The following spoke: Philippe Lamberts, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, to move the request for a debate without resolution, Maria João Rodrigues, on behalf of the S&D Group, to move an identical request from her group, Guy Verhofstadt, on behalf of the ALDE Group, to request that the item be added to the agenda for Tuesday, Mario Borghezio, on behalf of the ENF Group, Barbara Spinelli, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, to request that a separate debate be held on this matter, Philippe Lamberts to clarify his request, Maria João Rodrigues in support of this and Lampros Fountoulis, non-attached Member.

Parliament agreed to the request by electronic vote (212 in favour, 62 against, 18 abstentions).
