The final draft agenda for the October II 2018 (PE 629.223/PDOJ) sittings had been distributed and the following changes had been proposed (Rule 149a):

Thursday

After consulting the political groups, The President proposed the following change:

The first item on the afternoon's agenda, the debate on the question for oral answer O-000119/2018 to the Commission on 'Fair market for industry' (item 66 on the final draft agenda) would be replaced by a Commission statement with the same title and at the same time.

The House agreed to the proposal.

Monday

No changes.

Tuesday

Request from the ALDE Group to change the title of the statement by the Vice-President of the Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy on the 'Disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi' (item 107 on the final draft agenda) to 'Murder of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul'.

The following spoke: Marietje Schaake, on behalf of the ALDE Group, to move the request, Philippe Lamberts, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group, and Udo Bullmann, on behalf of the S&D Group also on the request.

Parliament approved the request.

Request from the GUE/NGL Group, with the support of the S&D and Verts/ALE Groups, to include as the second item on the afternoon agenda, statements by the Council and the Commission on 'The "CumEX" scandal: financial crime and loopholes in the current legal framework'. The debate would end with the tabling of motions for resolutions, which would be put to the vote on Thursday.

The following spoke: Dimitrios Papadimoulis, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, to move the request, Maria João Rodrigues, on behalf of the S&D Group, in favour of the request but to propose that the vote be held at a later part-session, Philippe Lamberts, on behalf of the Verts/ALE Group on the request by Maria João Rodrigues, and Dimitrios Papadimoulis, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, to propose that the vote be held in the November or December part-session.

Parliament adopted the proposal by roll-call vote (291 in favour, 5 against, 14 abstentions).

Request from the S&D Group to include, as the fifth item on the afternoon agenda, statements by the Council and the Commission on the 'Need for a comprehensive Democracy, Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights mechanism'. The debate would be closed with the tabling of motions for resolutions, which would be put to the vote on Thursday.

The following spoke: Maria João Rodrigues, on behalf of the S&D Group, to move the request, Frank Engel, on behalf of the PPE Group, against the request, Sophia in 't Veld, on behalf of the ALDE Group, and Maria João Rodrigues to propose that the debate be held during the current part-session and the vote during the next part-session.

Parliament adopted the proposal by roll-call vote (158 in favour, 151 against, 6 abstentions).

Wednesday

No changes.

Thursday

Request from the S&D group to include, as the first item on the agenda, statements by the Council and Commission on 'The role of local communities in the reception and integration of migrants in Europe: the case of Riace'.

The following spoke: Maria João Rodrigues, on behalf of the S&D Group, to move the request, Mara Bizzotto, on behalf of the ENF Group, against the request, Barbara Spinelli, on behalf of the GUE/NGL Group, on the request, Sophia in 't Veld, on behalf of the ALDE Group, to propose that the matter be put to the LIBE Committee, and Raffaele Fitto.

Parliament rejected the proposal by roll-call vote (125 in favour, 161 against, 8 abstentions).
