7. Announcement by the President

The President announced that on 11 January 2019, the Council had approved a draft decision on the conclusion of the agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community. Parliament had therefore received a request from the Council for approval of this draft decision.

Pursuant to Annex V, paragraph XVIII(3) of the Rules of Procedure, the draft decision on the conclusion of the withdrawal agreement was referred to the Committee on Constitutional Affairs.
