The President announced that he had received a request for a vote at Parliament, pursuant to Rule 71(2), from the Verts/ALE Group and several Members on the AGRI Committee's decision to open interinstitutional negotiations, which had been announced in the minutes of Wednesday 13 May 2020 (minutes of 13.5.2020, item 8).
The vote would be taken today, Friday 15 May 2020 from 14.15 to 15.30.
The President announced that he had not received any requests from a number of Members or from one or more political groups meeting at least the average threshold on the decision by the PECH Committee to open interinstitutional negotiations announced in the minutes of Wednesday 13 May 2020 (minutes of 13.5.2020, item 8).
The PECH Committee had therefore been able to initiate the negotiations on expiry of the deadline laid down in Rule 71(2).
