10. Requests for consultation of the European Economic and Social Committee (Rule 145)

The President announced that he had received, in accordance with Rule 145(2):

—   a request from the JURI Committee to consult the European Economic and Social Committee on corporate due diligence and corporate accountability;

—   a request from the EMPL Committee to consult the European Economic and Social Committee on an industrial transition towards a green and digital European economy: regulatory requirements and the role of social partners and civil society.

The requests for consultation would be deemed approved unless, within 24 hours, a political group or Members reaching at least the low threshold requested that they be put to the vote.
