3. Negotiations ahead of Parliament’s first reading (Rule 71) (action taken)

The President announced that no request had been received on behalf of a number of Members or a political group or groups reaching at least the medium threshold concerning the decisions to enter into interinstitutional negotiations as announced in the Minutes of Monday 5 October 2020 (minutes of 5.10.2020, item 8).

The INTA, BUDG/ECON and EMPL Committees had therefore been able to initiate the negotiations on expiry of the deadline laid down in Rule 71(2).
