2. Negotiations ahead of Parliament’s first reading (Rule 71) (action taken)

The President announced that no request had been received on behalf of a number of Members or a political group or groups reaching at least the medium threshold concerning the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations as announced in the Minutes of Monday 18 January 2021 (minutes of 18.1.2021, item 9).

The ECON Committee had therefore been able to initiate the negotiations on expiry of the deadline laid down in Rule 71(2).
