The President announced that no request had been received on behalf of a number of Members or a political group or groups reaching at least the medium threshold concerning the decision to enter into interinstitutional negotiations as announced in the minutes of Monday 5 July 2021 (minutes of 5.7.2021, item 8).

The TRAN Committee had therefore been able to initiate the negotiations on expiry of the deadline laid down in Rule 71(2).
