2. Announcement by the President

The President announced that based on the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on the Conduct of Members, the President of Parliament had decided to impose a penalty on Jan Zahradil for failing to respect the reporting requirements set out in Article 4(2)(g) of the Code of Conduct, as interpreted in the light of Article 1(a) of the Code of Conduct, in combination with Rule 35(4). The penalty consisted of a reprimand.

The Member concerned had been notified of the decision on 7 July 2021.

In accordance with Rule 177, Jan Zahradil was entitled to lodge an internal appeal with the Bureau within two weeks of notification of the penalty.

Luisa Regimenti was no longer sitting with the non-attached Members and had joined the PPE Group as of 8 July 2021.
