11. Composition of Parliament

The competent German authorities had informed Parliament of the appointment of Sven Schulze to the regional government of Saxony-Anhalt.

Parliament took note that, under Article 7(3) of the Act of 20 September 1976 concerning the election of the Members of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage, that office was incompatible with membership of the European Parliament. Under Rule 4(1) and (4, second subparagraph, Parliament established the vacancy of his seat with effect from 29 September 2021 and would inform the national authorities concerned.
