9. Negotiations ahead of Parliaments first reading (Rule 71)

The ECON Committee had decided to enter into interinstitutional negotiations in accordance with Rule 71, on the basis of the following report:

- ECON Committee – Report on the proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) No 575/2013 and Directive 2014/59/EU as regards the prudential treatment of global systemically important institution groups with a multiple point of entry resolution strategy and a methodology for the indirect subscription of instruments eligible for meeting the minimum requirement for own funds and eligible liabilities (COM(2021)0665 – C9-0398/2021 – 2021/0343(COD)) – Rapporteur: Jonás Fernández (A9-0020/2022);

In accordance with Rule 71(2), requests for the decision to be put to the vote could be submitted until midnight the following day, 15 February 2022.

Negotiations may start at any time after that deadline has expired if no request for a vote on the decision to enter into negotiations has been made.
