Parliament was called upon to elect a Quaestor (to replace Monika Beňová) (2023/2928(RSO)).
The President announced, with the consent of the nominee, that Victor Negrescu had been nominated by the S&D Group.
The President noted that, pursuant to Rule 15(1), as the number of nominations did not exceed the number of seats to be filled, the candidate was elected by acclamation.
The President congratulated Victor Negrescu on his election.
Pursuant to Rule 20, he would take the place of the outgoing Quaestor in the order of precedence.
