 European Parliament legislative resolution on the proposal for a Council and Commission decision on the conclusion of the Protocol to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, of the other part, to take account of the accession of the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic to the European Union (9003/2004 - COM(2004)0305 – C6-0024/2004 – 2004/0095(CNS)) | |||

(Consultation procedure) The European Parliament, – having regard to the proposal for a Council and Commission decision (COM(2004)0305)(1), – having regard to the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the Republic of Kyrgyzstan (9003/2004), – having regard to Article 44(2), the last sentence of Article 47(2), and Articles 55, 57(2), 71, 80(2), 93, 94, 133 and 181a, in conjunction with the second sentence of Article 300(2) of the EC Treaty, – having regard to Article 300(3), first subparagraph, of the EC Treaty, pursuant to which the Council consulted Parliament (C6-0024/2004), – having regard to Rules 43(1), 51 and 83(7) of its Rules of Procedure, – having regard to the report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (A6-0023/2004), 1. Approves the proposal for a Council and Commission decision; 2. Instructs its President to forward its position to the Council and the Commission and to the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
