Euro-Latin American Women's Forum

The Women's Forum was introduced as an official EuroLat's body with the reform of the EuroLat Rules of Procedure of 2018. The forum has two Chairs (one from the European Parliament and one from Latin America and the Caribbean). In this legislative term, MEP Samira Rafaela (Renew, The Netherlands) and Julia Argentina Perié (Parlasur, Argentina) were elected as co-chairs.

The meetings of the forum take place during the EuroLat sessions, usually twice a year: alternatively in Europe and in Latin America. The events are open to all Members of EuroLat and are generally webstreamed, and recorded. The topics for debate discussed during its meetings concern subjects related to aspects of life that have an impact on women's life. Experts are invited to address the audience.

The forum is a space where Europeans and Latin Americans can get together to understand each other better, to deepen the knowledge about the situation of women in the two regions and to build bridges and find common grounds in complex subjects that have an impact on the majority of the population.
