Commissioners-designate hearings

This note provides information on the election of the new Commission and the hearings of the Commissioners-designate, which start on 30 September the same date Commissioner-designate Phil Hogan's hearing will take place.

Structure of the hearings

Each hearing lasts three hours. The Commissioner-designate will make a 15-minute introductory statement, which will be followed by questions from MEPs. The Commissioners-designates’ answers to the written questions, posed by the Parliament’s committees, were received by Parliament. You can find all questions and answers here. Translations are set to be available 48 hours before the hearing in question.

Audiovisual services and webstreaming

All hearings are public and can be followed on EP Live. Parliament’s Multimedia Centre will provide HD quality videos, high-resolution photos and audio material (grouped by hearing in "media packages")
