EPAS Senior Ambassador in #EUwomen4future campaign
The European Parliament Liaison Office in Ireland warmly congratulates Helen English, Senior Ambassador in the European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) programme, who has been selected by the European Commission to feature in the #EUwomen4future campaign.
Helen teaches German, Russian and English as a Foreign Language at Maynooth Post Primary School in Co. Kildare. Helen also coordinates the school’s language support programme for international students, as well as the school's language policy, aligning it with national and European perspectives.
In her role as EPAS Senior Ambassador since 2017, Helen raises awareness of European parliamentary democracy and citizenship among her students who have been previous winners of the Model Council of the EU and represented their school at Euroscola in Strasbourg where students take on the role of MEPs for a day.
#EUwomen4future showcases women’s work and achievements in the fields of science, research and innovation, education and youth, culture and sports.
By highlighting their achievements, the campaign aims to encourage women and girls across the European Union to fulfil their professional and personal aspirations, while also illustrating the importance of gender equality and its fundamental role in a prosperous and fair society.
