Framework for reciprocal access to security-related information for front-line officers between the EU and key third countries to counter shared security threats

In its 2022 Work Programme, the European Commission announced a new legislative proposal on a Framework for reciprocal access to security-related information for front-line officers between the EU and key third countries to counter shared security threats.
The proposal was initially expected in the fourth quarter of 2023.
A public consultation on the forthcoming proposal was held between 22 January and 17 March 2023.
