I supported the referral back to Committee as more work needs to be done to ensure transparency of politically sensitive implementing acts.
I voted in support of the objection due to the negative food safety implications for our citizens and livestock. The authorisation of these GMOs poses a risk to our food safety and our health and the modified crops display a tolerance to toxic substances.

I voted in favour of this European Citizens’ Initiative which defends the rights of linguistic minorities. Safeguarding the survival of minority languages is an important role for us as legislators. We must ensure that they continue as living languages, thus protecting the variety within our collective culture and shared heritage.
I voted in favour of this report which calls for prolonging the European Capitals of Culture terms for Rijeka (Croatia) and Galway (Ireland) due to the reality of the ongoing pandemic and therefore allowing them to implement their cultural programmes.
I voted in favour of this report which will increase access to water for the vulnerable, increase the quality standards for drinking water as well as the materials in contact with it and also improve consumer access to information.
I voted in favour of this resolution which lays out the Union’s security strategy, the strategy to combat child sexual abuse and also plans to curb drug and firearms trafficking. The Union is in need of a coherent strategy that tackles the evolving security challenges of not only the present-day but also the next decade.
