Reports - as rapporteur

Za predlagani amandma nisem glasoval oziroma sem se vzdržal, saj sem bil pred izbiro, ki je nisem želel opraviti.
Namreč, sam se zavzemam tako za iskanje diplomatske rešitve krize in pogajanja za končanje vojne, kakor tudi za odločno obsodbo in zahtevo po prenehanju vseh vojaških aktivnosti, ki so v nasprotju s temelji mednarodnega vojnega in humanitarnega prava.

Mehanizem EU za demokracijo, pravno državo in temeljne pravice sem podprl, saj menim, da je vladavina prava in spoštovanje ključnih vrednot EU temelj, brez katerega ta dolgoročno ne more preživeti.
Ta mehanizem bo omogočil ne samo obrambo temeljnih vrednot, ampak tudi njihovo krepitev in nadaljnji razvoj tako v EU kakor tudi v državah članicah. S tem mehanizmom pa nenazadnje tudi branimo demokratične evropske politične ureditve.

Predlog podnebnih pravil sem podprl, saj menim, da EU nujno potrebuje tehnološko-razvojni preboj, s katerim ne bomo samo omejili in se soočili s posledicami podnebnih sprememb, ampak gre za preboj, katerega nujno potrebujemo za višje blagostanje vseh državljank in državljanov EU. Zato mora biti EU ambiciozna in si postaviti ustrezne cilje, vključno s 60 % zmanjšanjem emisij.
