The automotive industry is of key importance for the EU economy. It is essential to our industry, it provides jobs in many different areas, such as maintenance, construction and transport services. The regulation requires that the annual EU fleet-wide average CO2 emissions from new heavy-duty vehicles are reduced in five-year intervals. Reduction of CO2 emission is crucial for our environment but we cannot forget about the industry. We need to protect it and all changes have to be done with none damage to employees.
