Reports - as rapporteur

A rapporteur is appointed in the responsible parliamentary committee to draft a report on proposals of a legislative or budgetary nature, or other issues. In drafting their report, rapporteurs may consult with relevant experts and stakeholders. They are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs. Reports adopted at committee level are then examined and voted on in plenary. Rule 55

J’ai voté en faveur de la modification de la législation sur les dispositifs médicaux, y compris les dispositifs médicaux de diagnostic in vitro, par les moyens suivants :
- en prolongeant la période de transition pour certains dispositifs médicaux de diagnostic in vitro (en particulier ceux qui présentent un risque élevé) ;
- en permettant un déploiement progressif d'EUDAMED, la nouvelle base de données électronique ;
- en exigeant des fabricants qu'ils signalent les pénuries potentielles de dispositifs médicaux critiques et de diagnostic in vitro.

J'ai voté contre la création du nouvel organisme éthique indépendant. Si je ne suis pas opposée sur le principe au renforcement des règles en matière de transparence et d'intégrité au sein des institutions européennes, je condamne en revanche un texte déséquilibré, qui fait peser sur le Parlement des obligations contraignantes, auxquelles les membres du Conseil ne sont, eux, pas soumis. Il s'agit d'une atteinte au principe d'équilibre institutionnel.
