Reports - as rapporteur

A rapporteur is appointed in the responsible parliamentary committee to draft a report on proposals of a legislative or budgetary nature, or other issues. In drafting their report, rapporteurs may consult with relevant experts and stakeholders. They are also responsible for the drafting of compromise amendments and negotiations with shadow rapporteurs. Reports adopted at committee level are then examined and voted on in plenary. Rule 55

Jeg stemte for denne endelige beslutning, fordi jeg bakker op om den klare fordømmelse af Putins krigsforbrydelser, krænkelser af international lov og brud på menneskerettighederne. Mens jeg til fulde støtter de målrettede sanktioner mod Rusland, mener jeg ikke, at EU skal vedtage en lovgivningsmæssig ramme for at benævne lande som statssponsorer af terror. Jeg er bekymret for, at en sådan stempling af Rusland på den ene side ikke nødvendigvis forkorter krigen, men at den politiske, diplomatiske og økonomiske isolation af Rusland som følge af en stempling, kan risikere at komplicere efterspillet, når de russiske tropper har forladt Ukraine. Jeg frygter derudover, at en udelukkelse fra vigtige internationale fora, som eksempelvis Arktisk Råd, kan øge truslen mod Danmarks sikkerhed.

Jeg mener ikke, at EU skal kunne bestemme og trumfe på hele skatteområdet. Når jeg alligevel stemte for beslutningen om "nationale vetoer for at underminere den globale skatteaftale" skyldes det, at jeg på det kraftigste ønsker at kritisere Ungarn for at blokere for implementeringen af en fælles bund under selskabsskatten. Havende in mente, at Ungarn selv støttede aftalens indgåelse, er det åbenlyst, at det, der nu foregår, er et skamløst forsøg på at fremtvinge en studehandel, hvor skatteaftalen tages som gidsel i et forsøg på at tvinge EU til at vende det blinde øje til krænkelser af menneskerettigheder og demokratiske principper.

Jeg stemte for forordningen om digitale tjenester, fordi den tager hul på den store og vigtige opgave, det er at regulere de store teknologivirksomheder (Big Tech) – noget som jeg og mange andre har efterspurgt i årevis. Dermed ikke sagt, at jeg ikke gerne havde set et endnu stærkere resultat. Jeg havde eksempelvis ønsket stærkere krav til sociale medieplatforme om hurtigere at fjerne ulovligt indhold. Jeg mener ligeledes, at onlinemarkedspladser som Amazon burde være blevet pålagt fuldt importøransvar, såfremt produkter fra tredjelande, der ikke lever op til gældende miljø- og forbrugersikkerhedsregler, ender på det europæiske marked via dem. I dette lys, er det derfor også meget problematisk, at lovgivningen er udformet som en totalharmonisering, da det vil afholde medlemslande fra at vedtage supplerende tiltag, som kan udbedre mange af de mangler, som forordningen desværre har. Trods de åbenlyse mangler mener jeg dog, at forslaget er et skridt i den rigtige retning.
