I vote in favour of this report because I am convinced that action needs to be taken urgently in the EU to tackle the rise of poverty and in particular in-work poverty. With an economic crisis unfolding of which the social impact will be far-reaching, the EU and its Member States need to adopt an anti-poverty strategy with concrete poverty reduction targets by 2030, combat tax evasion and tax fraud, take action to end homelessness among other actions.
I don't support the statement that prostitution is something that needs to be combatted and is under all circumstances a form of violence and exploitation. Decrimininalising prostitution and ending repressive measures, together with a legal framework recognising the rights of sex workers as service providers or employees would benefit the well-being and safety of sex-workers and would significantly diminish their vulnerability to exploitation.

RT @GreensEFA: BREAKING: #Orban informs @EPPGroup that #Fidesz MEPs will be leaving Group. "Departure of Fidesz is long overdue. For too long the political cover provided by the EPP to the Hungarian government has given Orbán legitimacy to his illiberal political project," @GDelbosCorfield https://t.co/nRIsmixoOk
Two weeks ago @GreensEFA questioned the Commission on the application of the rule of law budget conditionality. The ruling of @EUCourtPress on the Polish judiciary today confirms that there is no time to lose. @EU_Commission: apply our legal framework to protect the rule of law. https://t.co/qBqW7yH93E
