Parliament’s estimates of revenue and expenditure for the financial year 2022 (A9-0145/2021 - Damian Boeselager)

29-04-2021
Written explanations of vote

I have voted this report on the estimations of revenue and expenditure for the financial year 2022 that addresses the need for further transparency in spending while making sure the Parliament remains efficient and visible at European level. The new financial framework also needs to be adapted based on the reduction of the number of MEPs and the increase of the work volume for each MEP. The Parliament is the only EU institutions that has been completely transparent in its spending while making financial cuts designed to show EU tax payers the solidarity of the Parliament in the current context.
